Grade 11 Stratford Northwestern student Kenny Edwards was the recipient of multiple awards at the 2nd annual Wasaga Beach Short Film Festival.

The WBSFF is unlike any other film festival, it is a unique opportunity for grass roots film enthusiasts and music video artists to compete on an even playing field. The film festival vision is based on capturing the imagination of musicians, filmmakers and actors at the beginner level creating an opportunity for international exposure while eliminating entry barriers and providing a focus for talent, passion, capability and achievement. - The 2013 Wasaga Beach Short Film Festival

Kenny directed and produced four short films to be entered in all four categories of the short film festival: video advertisement, action/comedy, music video and documentary. Kenny received gold and platinum awards in each category for every film that he entered into the festival.
