Avon Maitland District School Board Proposed Executive Compensation Program
The Avon Maitland District School Board is looking for public feedback on its new local Executive Compensation Program. The program is required by the Broader Public Sector Executive Compensation Act (BPSECA) and Ontario Regulation 304/16.
As part of the government regulations, all Ontario broader public sector employers are required to conduct a 30-day public consultation on their proposed Executive Compensation Program. Deadline for input is December 23, 2017. Following consultation and review of the comments, a summary of the public feedback and any changes to our Program will be submitted to the Ministry of Education for final approval. Upon Ministry and Board of Trustees approval, the final Executive Compensation Program will be posted.
The local program was developed based on a Provincial Executive Compensation Framework. It was created for use by Ontario’s 72 publicly funded school boards by an Executive Compensation Steering Committee comprising the four publicly-funded Trustee Associations, Supervisory Officers and Director of Education Associations, and with the guidance of an external consultant Mercer (Canada) that specializes in executive compensation.
