As the Associate Superintendent of Financial Services and Treasurer, I am responsible for all financial activities of the Avon Maitland District School Board (AMDSB). This includes financial accountability, planning and budgeting and the treasury function on behalf of the Board. I provide a leadership role for the Financial Services team, which includes the Financial Services Management Team.
The Financial Services Management Team is responsible for:
- Procurement and purchasing practices at AMDSB
- The annual Budget and Financial Statements
- General business functions, such as accounts payable, account receivable, HST administration
- Support and direction to schools on the accountability requirements for school generated funds
- Support and direction to sites and departments on the accountability requirements for grants and revenues, as well as expenses and capital spending
- Support and direction to all staff regarding the Administrative Procedures pertaining to financial management
The Financial Services Management Team

As the Manager of Procurement Services, I am responsible for ensuring that the Avon Maitland District School Board purchasing procedures and applicable government legislation is followed by Board departments and schools. Procurement Services facilitates the purchasing activities that allows the Board to obtain goods and services needed in the right quality and quantity, in an efficient and effective manner.
Sandra Hunt CPA, CMA – Financial Services Manager – Reporting519-527-0111 ext. 227
As the Financial Services Manager – Reporting, I am responsible for various facets of financial reporting, including internal control strategies, budgeting, reporting and financial statement preparation. I provide support to schools and departments, including Information Technology and Student Success. I manage the daily activities related to Accounts Receivable functions, banking and HST. My role also includes the administration of Board scholarships and trust funds.
Erin Moore CPA, CA – Financial Services Manager – Alternate Programs519-527-0111 ext. 259
As the Financial Services Manager – Alternate Programs, I am responsible for all financial aspects of the Centres for Employment and Learning. This includes reviewing expenses, completing reports to the government and overseeing the annual audits. I am also responsible for budgeting and monitoring for Distance Education and special ministry (EPO) grants.
Karla Vink CPA, CA, HBBA – Financial Manager – School Services519-527-0111 ext. 230
As the Financial Manager – Schools Services, I provide schools with support and direction in relation to the financial reporting, internal controls, and budgeting of school generated funds and school allocation budgets. I also assist the Program Services Department and Huron Perth Student Transportation Services in navigating the budget and monitoring process, assist in the generation of the Board budget, and support all departments in the documentation, review, and analysis of internal processes and controls.

As the Financial Services Officer, I supervise and support the Accounts Payable function. The Accounts Payable Department strives to provide effective and efficient support for our school system and our vendors, which in turn provides positive learning environments for our students. I also provide training and support to all school board users on Navision and eNav, our accounting software.
