On Saturday, May 2, 2015 the Avon Maitland Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) will be hosting a Learning for All Parent Workshop at Anne Hathaway Public School in Stratford.
This years event, Resiliency: 9 Things Kids Need from Their Families, Schools, & Communities will feature Dr. Michael Ungar the founder and Co-Director of the Resilience Research Centre at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Dr. Ungar is recognized around the world for how his research has impacted therapeutic approaches to children’s well-being. Known for his engaging speaking style, Michael Ungar uses the power of story-telling to drive home essential lessons learned from his experience working with youth, their families, and the professionals that support them. Dr. Ungar has been interviewed on numerous national and local television and radio shows.
