Share your thoughts and ideas with us as we start thinking about our next Strategic Plan!
In 2020, we will be renewing our Strategic Plan for the years 2020-2024. As the very first step in that process, we would like to get some input from you, our community members.
For the past 8 years, our vision has been: “Engage, Inspire, Innovate”, and our motto has been “Always learning.”
Since 2016, our mission has been the following:
We Will: Create Positive, Inclusive Learning Environments
Through Well-being, Equity and Inclusivity, and Safe and Welcoming Learning Environments
And: Maximize Outcomes for Students
Through Continuous Learning for all, Progression of Skills, and Accelerated Growth in Numeracy and Literacy
- Engaging our students, staff, families, communities and our world
- Inspiring with evidence-informed teaching and learning
- Innovating through the creative potential of emerging technologies
Guided by the principles of Equity, Character and Stewardship.
All of our work over the past 4 years has been connected to this Strategic Plan. As we endeavour to work toward our next Strategic Plan, we’d like you to share your thoughts and ideas of how we might ensure our work over the next 4 years reflects the needs of our students going forward.
Who should participate?
Parents, students, and community members. Staff will be consulted separately.
How can I participate?
From May 17 to June 7, you can share your thoughts via thoughtexchange, an e-platform that facilitates open yet confidential exchange of ideas.
On thoughtexchange, you answer a question and then rate the answers of others using 1-5 stars. Come back as many times as you want to while the exchange is open to rate more thoughts. For best results, rate about 30 other thoughts before the exchange closes on June 7.

What happens next?
After the exchange closes, thoughts will be analyzed and themed by thoughtexchange staff, then we will share the results with you.
Thoughts will help shape discussions and decision-making as we move forward with the strategic planning process.
Further consultation about our 2020-2024 Strategic Plan will happen during the 2019-2020 school year.
