The Stream of Dreams initiative is a whole school eco-education program that educates communities about their local watershed, rivers and streams, encourages behavioural change to conserve and protect water, empowers youth to make a positive environmental impact, and creates a community art legacy by and for the whole community.
They recently visited Downie Central Public School and guided students through workshops on water conservation and the importance of protecting our shared ecosystem. Every student in the school had the opportunity to paint their own recyclable fish that will be displayed on the fence in the front of the school as part of the Fish on the Fences mural. The backs of all the fish will be painted blue to represent a flowing “Stream of Dreams”.
