English as a Second Language (ESL) Educational Assistants (EAs) tutor English Language Learners (ELLs) for 10 weeks in order to assist and accelerate academic English language acquisition.
ESL EAs provide observations and information on individual student’s daily work to educators and school administrators.
ESL EA provide a safe, welcoming place for ELLs to share their personal and cultural stories. They also help students become accustomed to their new environment.
ESL EAs provide insights into the individual, ongoing development of ELLs within their schools to educators, administrators and the ESL Coordinator.
