The EIE supports students who have self-identified in order to access information and supports and to assist with transitions to post-secondary schools.
The EIE Lead supports educators in their programming needs regarding culturally responsive and relevant pedagogy, religious accommodations and creating LGBTQ welcoming classrooms and schools. Time is spent building relationships with local Indigenous Peoples who offer their knowledge to classrooms and connecting them to these opportunities. Support is also offered to schools to understand and connect with our various Mennonite populations to increase school engagement.
The Indigenous Lead coordinates and facilitates the Indigenous Education Advisory Committee. The lead also supports administrators in serving our diverse family populations.
The EIE Lead works with system leaders and community partners to consider student identity needs and to understand how best to serve students and their families.
